A few years a go I moved 30 or so miles away from my then Doctor. For the longest time I kept going to him, however I decided it was time to find one closer to home.
I get all checked in, wait 15 minutes beyond my appointed time before finally getting to see the Doctor.
I soon learn why she runs so far behind schedule. She is very detailed and wants to know everything that is going on with you. My family history is a bit on the scary side so it took a bit( heart problems, diabetes, thyroid, cancer and depression) The Dr looked almost horrified, and instantly ordered blood work. Lots of blood work.
So even though I was only there for a sinus infection, I also got so much blood draw that I needed some O.J. and cookies afterward.
The good news eveything is just fine, except I do need to lose about 50 pounds. That's a whole diffrent battle.
